Description
1 sheet (10 cm x 14 cm) contains Flubiprofen 40 mg.
Action
Pharmacology: Acustop Cataplasma has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect by transdermal absorption, which is characterized by minimizing side effects, i.e., gastrointestinal or renal disturbance, etc. Flurbiprofen, active ingredient of Acustop Cataplasma, is a NSAID (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). It is used in musculoskeletal and joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, in soft-tissue disorders such as sprains and strains. Acustop Cataplasma contains about 40% water, which accelerates the absorption of active ingredient, Flurbiprofen.
Indications/Uses
For the acute and chronic treatment of the sign and symptoms of the followings: Arthritis deformans, periarthritis humero-scapularis, tendinitis, peritendinitis, humeral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), sore muscle, swelling, pain resulted from trauma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply 1 sheet to the affected area twice a day.
Contraindications
Should be avoided in patients with exudative dermatoses, eczema, sores, infected skin lesions or broken skin.
Do not apply to the patients of the followings: Patients with history of hypersensitivity to this drug.
Patients with aspirin induced asthma (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug induced asthma) or with history of it.
Carefully apply to following patients: Patients with bronchial asthma.
Special Precautions
Treatment of analgesics & anti-inflammatory drug is not a casual-therapy, but a symptomatic-therapy.
Consider the other therapy besides drug therapy in case of using this preparation for chronic disease (arthritis deformans, etc.). Observe carefully the status of patients and be cautious of the adverse reaction.
Do not apply to the eyes, damaged skin and mucuos membrane.
Do not apply to eczema and eruption.
Wipe the sweat off affected area and then apply.
Use in Children: Safety and efficacy in children is not established.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
Use in Pregnancy: As safety in human pregnancy has not established, this preparation should not be administered to pregnant woman or woman of child-bearing potential unless therapeutic benefit is considered to exceed the possible risk.
Side Effects
Skin: Occasionally eruption, redness, itchiness, fever and photosensitivity may occur. If there symptoms occur, discontinue application.
Drug Interactions
In case of using treatment of inflammatory accompanied with infection, apply cautiously with administrating appropriate antibacterial or antifungal agent together and observe carefully, because the symptoms of skin inflammation may not appear by this preparation.
